A loja está atendendo - And the store is open!

Finalmente o grande dia chegou: a loja está pronta!
Finally the big day has arrived: the store is open to business!

Primeiro, vamos rever a loja pelo lado de fora:
First, let's see it again from the outside:

 

Agora uma visita ao sótão, que também é usado para armazenar algumas caixas recém-chegadas do exterior, além do plugue para as luzes, disfarçado em engradado de produto importado.
Next a quick visit to the attic, which is also used to store some boxes and packages that have just arrived from Europe, and the lights plug & switches, disguised inside a crate.

Finalmente, vamos ver a loja em si!
And finally, the store itself!

As portas abertas, já vemos uma movimentação lá dentro: parece que a nossa Lucília (à direita na foto) está atendendo uma freguesa...
The doors are open, and we can see some 'action' inside already: it seems that our saleswoman Lucília (on the right side of the picture) is already serving a customer...

Vamos nos aproximar mais!
Let's get closer!

À esquerda vemos o armário menor, com linhas, fitas, rendas, máquinas de costura, uma máquina toda montada mais adiante, um manequim de costura e a escada em espiral que leva ao depósito/sótão:
On the left we see the smaller shelf unit, the one with threads, ribbons, lace, a couple of sewing machines, and also there is another sewing machine on its own table, a sewing mannequin and the spiral staircase, leading to the attic/storage room:

E aí está nossa freguesa, você sabe quem é?
And there is our customer, do you know who this is?

Sim, é Mme Marie! Ela está examinando cuidadosamente esta linda peça de renda, recém-chegada da Europa...
Yes, it's Mme Marie! She's examining carefully this beautiful lacy fabric, which has just arrived from Europe...

E ela não está sozinha, parece que sua pequena princesinha, a Juliette, veio acompanhando a mamãe...
And she is not alone, it seems that her little princess, Juliette, came along with her mommy...

A mesa central, onde ficam alguns rolos de tecidos maiores, que não cabem no armário, e onde são examinados e cortados os tecidos escolhidos pelas freguesas. Monsieur Martin supervisiona tudo lá do fundo...
The central table, where some larger fabric bolts that won't fit the shelves are stored, and also where the customers can examine the fabrics they are interested in and, once chosen, they are cut. Monsieur Martin oversees everything from the back of the store...

Sim, lá de trás do balcão, perto do caixa, ele orienta Lucília, sugerindo tecidos para que ela apresente às freguesas.
Yes, from behind the counter, right next the cash register, he guides Lucília, suggesting fabrics for her to show the customers.

Aqui vemos Monsieur Martin, Lucília e o outro armário ao fundo, repleto de tecidos importados: tudo coisa fina!
Here que can see Monsieur Martin, Lucília and the other shelf unit in the background, filled with imported fabrics: only the finest stuff!

Lucília vai pegar o metro e a tesoura para cortar o tecido rendado escolhido pela freguesa.
Lucília is reaching for the reference meter and the scissors in order to cut the lacy fabric chosen by the customer.

A loja não tem vitrine, mas alguns tecidos são exibidos perto da porta em um suporte especial para atrair a freguesia.
The store doesn't have a window to display the items, but some fabrics are at display next to the door, on a specially designed stand, to attract customers.

Vemos agora Lucília pelo lado de dentro da loja...
We can now see Lucília from inside the store...

Em frente à nossa loja de tecidos, do outro lado da rua estreita, há uma loja de artigos religiosos, com imagens de santos, velas, etc. Podemos agora ver melhor a pequena Juliette agarrada à saia da mãe, e acabei de notar a delicada sombrinha de Mme. Marie encostada na mesa.
On the other side of the narrow street, opposite to our fabrics store, there is another store that sells religious items, like saint images, candles, etc. We can now see little Juliette better, grabbing her mommy's skirt, and I just noticed Mme. Marie's delicate umbrella leaning against the table.  

Monsieur Martin acompanha o atendimento, atento a tudo!
Monsieur Martin monitors the service, watching everything!
