Dançando no teto! - Dancing on the ceiling

Na postagem anterior mostrei como instalei as lâmpadas da fachada. Agora mostrarei como instalei o "teto/piso do sótão" e as luminárias do interior da loja. Tudo é uma coisa só, e tive que trabalhar com elas ao ao mesmo tempo. Tenha em mente que usei um pedaço de papel pluma (foamboard/spumapaper - usado em maquetes) para fazer esta divisória. Então furar,  entalhar os canais, cortar, etc, é muito fácil e não exige ferramentas especiais. É bem leve e se aplicar cola (ou tinta) dos dois lados, qualquer empenamento será neutralizado. É firme o bastante já que nenhuma pessoa vai caminhar de fato sobre ele... :)
Last time I showed how I installed the lights for the facade. Now I'll show how I installed the 'ceiling/attic floor' and the light fixtures for inside the store. They are one piece and had to be worked together. Keep in mind I used a piece of foam core to make this division. So piercing, grooving, cutting, etc, is really easy and no special tools are required. It's very light and if you apply glue (or paint) on both sides, any warping will be neutralized. It's sturdy enough as no real person will walk on it... :)

Para o lado do teto (como "visto" por dentro da loja), imprimi umas molduras e simplesmente colei. Já sabia que iria colocar 3 luminárias: duas perto das portas e uma no "fundo" da loja. A lógica diz que o normal seria fazer o oposto - você quer mais luz onde a luz natural da rua não chega - nos fundos da loja. Mas esta é uma versão em miniatura e a loja não tem parede dos fundos, na verdade é por onde vemos o interior da loja!... E a escada em espiral em um dos cantos ocupa espaço também. Então, tudo que fiz foi colar o que imprimi e fiz os furos para passar a fiação. 
For the ceiling (as "seen" from inside the store), I printed some art and glued. I already knew I would place 3  chandeliers: two near the doors and one near the back of the store. Logic would say the opposite - you would like to bring more light to the back of a store, where natural light from the streets wouldn't reach. But this is a miniature version and the back wall doesn't exist, it's actually were we really see the inside from!... And the spiral stairs on the corner takes some space too. So, I just glued the printed art and made holes to pass the wires through. 

Daí bastou colar cada luminária no local certo, ao mesmo tempo que a fiação ia para o outro lado. Testei a colocação da divisória para ter certeza que tudo se encaixava. Já tinha entalhado os canais para passar os fios logo depois de ter feito os furos. Haverá uma "caixa" no canto para esconder a fiação, interruptores e plug para o transformador, então todos os fios foram reunidos em um só local
Then I just glued each chandelier to place, while sending the wires to the other side. I dry fit to see if everything was in place. I had already carved the grooves for the wires right after I drilled the holes. There will be a 'box' on the corner to conceal the wires, switches and plug to transformer, so I brought all the wires to the same point. 

Não estou mostrando desta vez como fiz o "piso" do sótão. Foi praticamente do mesmo jeito que fiz para o piso do andar térreo, sendo a principal diferença desta vez que usei madeira balsa para as pranchas de madeira, com 1 mm de espessura. Comprei na Nauticurso -  são de excelente qualidade! Pode comprar a normal mesmo, a especial é macia demais para nosso uso. Fiz um furo para os fios em um canto e recortei a passagem para a escada do outro. Claro, as pranchas foram coladas em um papel (pode usar até cartolina), previamente cortado do mesmo tamanho que a divisória. Só colei no lugar depois de terminar tudo. 
I'm not showing how I made the "floor" for the attic. It's pretty much the same way as I did for the ground floor, the main difference being that this time I used balsa wood, 1mm thick (1/16"), that I got from Nauticurso - so good and firm it feels like basswood. I sanded, sealed and varnished/dyed normally. Made a hole for the wires on one corner and the passage for the stairs on the other. And glued it in place. Oh, yes, I glue the strips of wood on a separate sheet of paper (bristol board, for example), previously cut the same size as the ceiling/attic floor division. Only after finished it's glued there. 

Não me preocupei muito com acabamento e perfeição. Bem ao contrário, eu queria um aspecto "rústico" desta vez, pois geralmente as pessoas não capricham muito em pisos de sótãos. E nesse caso a finalidade desta área será basicamente só para armazenamento mesmo!
I didn't care too much for neatness. Quite the opposite, I wanted a more "rustic" look, as usually people don't spend that much time & energy on attic floors. It's meant, for this store, more as a storage room than anything else!

Hora de verificar se todas as luzes ainda estão funcionando!... Improvisei a conexão ao plugue do transformador, só para fazer a checagem...
