Yesterday I had a very pleasant surprise. Do you remember the mini-people I made in 1/35th scale, representing Count and Countess of Araruama, to populate 'their' Manor, made by Mateus? Well, yesterday I got some pictures of them at the manor, I was so thrilled! I felt like a proud mommy, lol...
O Solar, com os 'proprietários' no alto da escada para nos receber. The Manor, with the 'owners' on top of the entrance stairs. |
Eles desceram para nos cumprimentar They got down the stairs to greet us |
Agora subiram de novo, mostrando o caminho Now they're back up again, leading the way |
Mais uma foto para o álbum! One more picture to the album |
Observam a propriedade pelo balcão They enjoy the view of the land from the balcony |
Não são fofos lá? Aren't they adorable there? |
Na varanda, prontos para entrar em casa... On the porch, about go get into the house... |
Que casal nobre e adorável, não? What a noble and lovely couple, aren't they? |
:)

Hi Evelyne! Wow, these pictures are very realistic, it is amazing work. The Manor is excellent work, as the Count and Countess are :D! My sincere compliments!

Hi Ilona. Yes, Mateus took the pictures himself, and his work on the Manor is impressive. My 'children' really seem to belong there! :)
ExcluirThe Manor and its owners look very realistic. Thanks for sharing.
ResponderExcluirIt's great that you have these miniature works of art in your country.
We have a few, mostly antiques, donated by their owners and exhibited in museums. The late Helena Rubinstein collected antique dollhouses which she donated to the Tel-Aviv Art Museum.
Hugs, Drora
Unfortunately that kind of work is quite rare here too. One more reason I'm so proud to be part of this project, with the figures. I really think there should be more miniature models of historical buildings all over the world, in all countries. It really helps raising awareness towards our own culture & history, doesn't it?
ExcluirThe Manor is magnificent, Evelyne! The architectural details are simply amazing. The owners must be thrilled with it and it is nice that they sent pictures to you. Thank you for sharing. :-)

Hi Lisa,
ExcluirYes, Mateus work creating the scale model of the real Manor was amazing. I cannot get enough of it. I hope someday I can go there and see it with my own eyes, it's magnificent! The Manor (and now the figures) now belong to an institution that is trying to raise funds to recover/renovate the real life manor, which is in quite bad shape, unfortunately. I do hope they'll succeed soon, it's such a beautiful building!
